The turf tread pattern is designed specifically to minimize damage to the ground without fully sacrificing traction or durability. Small diamond-shaped patterns cover the surface of the track with very little gap between each diamond so that ground pressure is evenly distributed, leaving minimal imprints in the ground. The corner of each diamond is slightly rounded to also minimize ground damage while turning. In addition to minimal ground damage, the turf pattern also offers a very smooth ride.
